Consortium achieves National Quality Award for Education Business Excellence

We are please to tell you that the Consortium achieved the National Quality Award for Education Business Excellence this March, the DCSF Standard for Education Business Partnerships.  We are one of 40 EBPs in the country to have achieved the award, which recognises the continued efforts and high standards achieved in education/business brokerage.

John Challands, lead assessor from the Institute of Education Business Excellence QA team, wrote:

“Basingstoke Consortium Ltd enjoys an excellent reputation locally. A very close and creative working relationship with education and business has seen the development of a succession of vibrant partnerships that have significantly enhanced and enriched the curriculum in many schools. Schools and employers continually give testament to the depth of knowledge and understanding of the team, to their reliability and responsiveness and to their willingness to meet every challenge. It has a very flexible and creative approach to delivery and continues, even in the present economic climate, to increase the involvement of employers.”

Assessors commented on the impressive range of curriculum initiatives the Consortium leads on. As well as accrediting its Work Experience, WRL and Enterprise activities, special mention was given to the sustainable achievements in subject specialisms:

  • STEM
  • Modern Foreign Languages
  • Health and Social Care

One quote in the report sums up the attitude of staff at the Consortium: “They always make things happen.”

Everyone at the Consortium would like to thank those who provided support through the accreditation process, and who continue to work with us on our many and varied projects.
