Skillstree is an important initiative for Basingstoke and Deane and right now we need as many companies involved as possible - both large and small. To suit the size of your business we've created a choice of four ways in which you can participate - as the Platinum sponsor, or as a Gold, Silver or Bronze sponsor. We've kept costs down to a minimum. In fact sponsorship starts from just £1,000 per annum and opens the door for 20 young people to gain valuable experience of the world of work.
Click here to download the Skillstree brochure for full details or contact Sue Riley on (01256) 840710. Click here to see who the current Skillstree sponsors are.

Each year the Consortium places more than 1,600 young people on work experience. Last year, with the support of over 700 businesses, students gained experience in fields as diverse as engineering, sport and leisure, land based, IT and public services.
|
This is one of the Consortium's newest but most valuable programmes. It addresses some of the issues that local employers tell us are important when young people come to them for work. |
Business mentors provide secondary school students with valuable external perspectives on their studies. Mentors support students for a range of reasons including subject revision, aspiration raising, getting back on track, developing communication and planning skills. |
Giving students the opportunity to visit a business and find out about the organisation itself, the sector and career pathways is invaluable. The impact on students is huge. It can sometimes shape their whole future. |
