Our commitment:
Your email address will be added to our secure database and will not be shared with any third parties. We promise not to bombard you, however, if you decide it's not for you, you can easily and instantly unsubscribe via a link at the end of each email.
We work with schools and colleges across all curriculum areas to develop business links that enhance work done in the classroom and put learning into context. This is called work related learning (learning through work, about work and for work), and is designed to increase the skills and abilities of the future workforce and to develop the full potential of all young people.
Our activities include: work experience placements, enterprise challenges, mentoring, business talks and visits, employability workshops, financial capability sessions and careers or skills fairs. These activities are open either to individual schools and colleges or to groups through borough-wide events.
Additionally, we can develop bespoke programmes to meet specific needs. In the past these have included: year group challenges, cross-curricular events in science, maths and technology, Gifted and Talented programmes (Taste of Japan and Think Global) and support for pre-NEET and NEET programmes.

Work Experience Each year the Consortium places more than 1,600 young people on work experience. Last year, with the support of over 700 businesses, students gained experience in fields as diverse as engineering, sport and leisure, land based, IT and public services. |
Mentoring Business mentors support students for a range of reasons including subject revision, raising aspirations, getting back on track, developing communication and planning skills. |
